Ohio University (2-2) took the field before a crowd of 25,211 at Peden Stadium for its home opener and did not disappoint the crowd, winning 36-24 over the Idaho Vandals (0-3).

Derrius Vick, quarterback, runs with the ball while
 looking for an open pass.
The Bobcats were able to get on the scoreboard early when quarterback Derrius Vick and wide receiver Sebastian Smith connected for a touchdown less than five minutes into the game.

While Idaho hung around, Ohio never gave up the lead. The game got as close as 29-24 in the fourth quarter but running back A.J. Ouellette would rush for his second touchdown with 2:09 left to put the game out of reach.

Ouellette lead the way for the Bobcats, who finished the evening with 132 rushing yards and linebacker Quentin Poling who had three interceptions on the evening.

The Bobcats will look to build on their momentum as they take on the Eastern Illinois Panthers next Saturday back at Peden Stadium.
